Paul Norris Lee Mire

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 8, 2024 at St Francis Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church honoring the life of Paul Norris Lee Mire, 91, who passed away on November 4, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7 PM and will continue Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:45 PM when the funeral will depart for the church.

Reverend Glenn Meaux will officiate at the funeral mass. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Byron P. Mire (Melissa) of Kaplan; his six grandchildren, Lacey Blanchard (Brad) of Youngsville, Corky Mire (Devanie) of Kaplan, Megan Le (Eric) of Kaplan, Cole Mire (Robin) of Kaplan, Brian Roche(Bennie) of Kaplan and Radonna Breaux (Terron) of Kaplan; 15 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mae Rose Vincent Mire; his parents Senua Mire and the former Nedia Lormand.

Mr. Mire was a Math Teacher for 27 years, having taught at Welsh, Gueydan, and Rene A. Rost Middle School. He was a graduate of S.L.I.(currently UL Lafayette). Mr. Mire enjoyed hunting, spending time with his family. He loved watching sports and at one time was a member of the Lafayette Saints semi-pro baseball team.
