Purvis J. Monceaux

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home in Kaplan honoring the life of Purvis J. Monceaux, 84, who died Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beverly V. Monceaux; one son, Troy Monceaux (Carla) of Kaplan; one daughter, Pamela Monceaux of Kaplan; five grandchildren, Colby Monceaux, Kaylyn Monceaux, Trey Monceaux, Alex Schexnider, and Logan Schexnider.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Deusar Monceaux and the former Noemi LaPointe; one brother, Dalton Monceaux; one sister, Bertile Hebert; and one half-sister, Stella Groom.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the services begin at 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
