Raymond Dartez, Sr.

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Raymond Dartez, Sr., 85, who died Friday, November 15, 2019 at Eastridge Nursing Center. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Palthasar Arrockia Doss officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Dartez, Jr., Raymond Dartez III, Kersey Trahan II, Kirby Trahan, Jr., Christopher Abshire, and Shawn Lavalley.

He is survived by his son, Raymond Dartez, Jr. of Montegut; his daughter, Barbara Dartez Trahan of Kaplan; his two sisters, Wanda LeMaire and her husband, Roland of Lake Charles and Mona Duhon of Kaplan; his brother, Doris Dartez of Kaplan; nine grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Marceaux Dartez; his parents, Elice Dartez and the former Felita Whittington; his brother, Norris Duhon; his daughter-in-law, Beverly Dartez; and his stepfather, Noah Duhon.

The Dartez family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Eastridge Nursing Home and Hospice of Acadiana.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Sunday, November 17,2019 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Monday, November 18, 2019 from 8:00 AM until the time of services at 2:00 PM.
