Richard Harrington

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Richard Harrington, 79, who died Monday, October 12, 2020 at Lafayette General Medical Center.  He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Matt Hebert officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Ann Harrington of Kaplan; his son, Randy Harrington and his wife, Stephanie of Kaplan; his two daughters, Darlene H. Broussard and her husband, Terry of Kaplan and Amy H. Kibodeaux and her husband, Randall of Kaplan; his sister, Beverly H. Toups and her husband, Donald of Lafayette; his six grandchildren, Leigha H. Briolo and her husband, Chuck, Beau Harrington, Jill B. Zaumbrecher and her husband, Lyle, Mitchel Broussard, Alerie B. Duhon and her husband, Tyler, and Adel Broussard; and his eight great grandchildren, Remi, Randi and Jeb Briolo, Eil, Emersyn and Jude Zaunbrecher, and Kade and Koltin Duhon.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Harrington; and his parents, Alcee Harrington and the former Olivia Guidry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 600 N. Church Avenue, on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 11:00 AM until the time of the Mass at 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 1:00 PM.
