Richard Jules Greene

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Richard Jules Greene, 71, who died Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Ochsner Medical Center.  He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cindy Viator Greene of Kaplan; one daughter, Ava Greene Johnson of Lafayette; one stepson, Justin Sonnier (Jimi) of Youngsville; three sisters, Margaret Broussard of Kaplan, Connie LeBouef of Kaplan and Eve Dubois of Kaplan; three brothers, Sammy Greene of Kaplan, T-Love Greene of Kaplan and Walter Greene of Kaplan; and six grandchildren, Trevor Jules Johnson, Roman Michael Ardoin, Sadie Rose Sonnier, Liam Wayne Sonnier, Bram Alvin Sonnier and Jolie Kae Sonnier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lovelace Greene and the former Azalia Ryder.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM until the services at 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
