Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Richard Gale Trahan, 77, who died Saturday, January 16, 2021 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife, Joan B. Trahan of Kaplan; his three daughters, Rebecca Love and her husband, James of Bethlehem, GA, Rachel Carter of Loganville, GA, and Victoria Crump and her husband, Ralph of Dacula, GA; his three stepdaughters, Becky Egert and her husband, Scott of Lubboch, TX, Carolyn Sebek and her husband, Daren of Belton, TX, and Laurie Spencer and her husband, Warren of Friendswood, TX; his eight grandchildren; his five great grandchildren; his nine step grandchildren; and his eight step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Artheus Trahan and the former Olive Duhon; and his brother, Alton James Trahan.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 600 N. Church Avenue, on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:30 AM.
