Robert Davidson, Jr.

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December  1, 2021 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Robert  Davidson Jr., 88, who died Monday, November 29, 2021 at his residence.  He will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Jason Crouch officiating the services.

Robert was a veteran of the United States Army who served our country during the Korean Conflict.  Once he returned from the service he married the love of his life, Ella Broussard on August 17, 1957.  He was a retired Lock Master with over 25 years of service with the United States Army Corps of Engineers.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will greatly be missed.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ella Broussard Davidson; daughter, Debbie Menard of Monroe; two sons, Randy Davidson and his wife, Laquita of Kissimmee, FL, and Mitch Davidson and his wife, Sarah of Abbeville; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Gloria Davidson and Betty Davidson, both of Abbeville; and one brother, Harold Davidson of Abbeville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Davidson, Sr. and the former Eunice Faulk; sisters, Rosabelle Broussard and Annielou Theriot; son-in-law, George Menard; and grandson, Chris Menard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Wednesday, December  1, 2021 from 9:00 AM until time of services.
