Rodney Joseph Langlinais

June 1, 1942 — December 22, 2020

Cow Island—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 28, 2020 at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Rodney Joseph Langlinais, 78, who died Tuesday, December 22, 2020.  He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Roderick Langlinais, Todd Langlinais, Ted Langlinais, Tony Langlinais, Brandon Guillory and Tyler Guillory. Honorary pallbearers will be Curt Stelly, , Linus Langlinais, Jr., Carl LeBlanc, Lucas Broussard, Keith Sellers, OJ Campbell, Luke Langlinais, and Jacob Langlinais, Shelby Suire, Terry Langlinais and Blake Suire.

He is survived by his three sons, Roderick Langlinais and his wife, Donna of Arp TX, Todd Langlinais of Kaplan, and Ted Langlinais of Kaplan; his four daughters, Gwen Caswell and her husband, Nathan of Orange, TX, Lisa Caswell and her husband, Frankie of Arp, TX, Rhoda Langlinais of Kaplan, and Tina Langlinais of Kaplan; his two sisters, Gloria Chevallier and Dena Langlinais Dequir; his four brothers, Dalton Langlinais, Curtis Langlinais, Linus Langlinais, and Elvis Langlinais;  his grandchildren, Shelby Suire, Blake Suire, Britney Rogas, Raquelle Langlinais, Luke Langlinais, Jacob Langlinais, Elijah Blake Comeaux, Angel Langlinais, Angelle Langlinais, Nicholas Richard, Victoria Richard, Ashley Vincent, Taylor Myers, Andrew Langlinais, Madison Langlinais, Brandon Guillory, Tyler Gullory, Brook Guillory, and Lucas Broussard; 9 great grandchildren; and 26 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Minus Langlinais; his parents, Minus "Pete" Langlinais and the former Avia Touchet; his sister, Lena Langlinais; and his great grandson, Kegan Rogas.

The family would like to thank Tina Langlinais, Carl LeBlanc, Roderick Langlinais, and Hope Hospice for kind and compassionate care during this time.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 pm  with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM; Monday, December 28, 2020 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 12:30 PM.
