Rodney "Rod" Joseph Stelly, Jr.

August 29, 1960 — January 12, 2018

Gueydan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Rodney Joseph Stelly Jr., 57, who died Friday, January 12, 2018 at Residence. He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.

He is survived by his two sons, Joshua LaBove of Iowa, LA and Cole Stelly of Gueydan; one daughter, Kate Stelly of Gueydan; his mother, Virgie B. Stelly of Gueydan; his two brothers, Hal Stelly of Kaplan and Randy Stelly of Lake Charles; his two nieces, Ida K. Stelly of Kaplan and Rebecca Stelly of Lake Charles; his nephew, Eli Stelly of St. Paul, Minneosota; and his three grandchildren, Jayden LaBove, Elizabeth LaBove, and Dalton LaBove.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Joseph Stelly; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Oledia Bertrand; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stelly.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM; Monday, January 15, 2018 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church.
