Rosa Mae Gaspard

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Rosa Mae Gaspard, 84, who died Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Calcutta House.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Stephen Irudayasamy officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Andre Arcement, Blake Miller, Mitchell Vincent, Brannon Menard, Noah Gaspard and Kirk Trahan.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Prentis Thomas Gaspard of Kaplan; two sons, Donald Ray Gaspard and his wife, Eva of Forked Island and Jamie Gaspard and his wife, Tammy of Kaplan; four daughters, Norma Hernandez of Kaplan, Patricia and her husband, Raywood Bertrand of Kaplan, Rebecca and her husband, Marcus Miller of Kaplan, Cagney and her husband, Lucas Trahan of Kaplan; one sister, Elaine Richard of Kaplan; two brothers, Kenneth Hargrave of Bossier City and Randy Hargrave of Kiln, Mississippi; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.B. Hargrave and the former Rosa Suire; four brothers, Joseph, Norman, Raywood and Walter Hargrave; one sister, Mary Lou Meaux; and one son-in-law, Kelly Hernandez.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 9:30 AM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Monday, June 13, 2022 from 8:00 AM until the services at 1:30 PM.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Acadiana, Vermilion Health Care, Acadian Ambulance, Calcutta House and Our Lady of Lourdes.
