Ruthy Lane Thibodeaux

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan honoring the life of Ruthy Lane Thibodeaux, 52, who died Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital.  She will be laid to rest at Istre Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her brothers, Conley and Kinley Thibodeaux, her godfather, Alive Broussard, Jr., and her nephews, Dalton Parker, Justin Kershaw and Gavin Myers.

She is survived by her mother, Helen Thibodeaux of Morse; her two brothers, Conley Thibodeaux of Morse and Kinley Thibodeaux of Morse; her three godchildren, Chelsie and her husband, Dalton Parker of Lyons Point, Emma Zaunbrecher of Gueydan and Faith Zaunbrecher of Gueydan; her three nieces, Nakia  and her husband, Justin Kershaw of Mermentau, Hannah and her husband, Gavin Myers of Crowley; her two great nieces, Daidun, Brair and Taitlyn Kershaw; her three great nephews, Holden and Bryn Kershaw and Oli Parker; and her best friend, Kayla Schexnayder.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles W. Thibodeaux; her sister-in-law, Brenda Thibodeaux; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvie Broussard, Sr.; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edras Thibodeaux;  and her special friends, Cherie and Kristen Schexnayder.

Ruthy’s family would like to extend their thanks to the doctors and nurses at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital and her boss, Shelia Charles at South Louisiana Community College.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 8:00 AM until the time of the services at 10:00 AM.
