Sandra Faulk Barras

BROUSSARD- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 200 W. Main St., Broussard honoring the life of Sandra Ann Faulk Barras, 67, who passed away on February 15, 2025, at Encore Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Crowley. Reverend Michael Delcambre will officiate at the funeral mass. Lectors for the Mass will be Barbara Beard and Michelle Broussard. Gift bearers will be Trevor W. Payne and Derek Etie. Entombment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Mausoleum in Broussard. Pallbearers will be Trevor Payne, Derek Etie, Dylan Etie, Lance Barras, Guy Hawkins, Mike Benoit, Joey Broussard.

A visitation will take place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 200 W. Main St., Broussard on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM.

Sandra was born on October 3, 1957 in Abbeville, Louisiana. 

Sandra Barras was a caring and loving mother to her son, Trevor, a devoted and loving wife to her late husband, Terry. She loved her friends and family unconditionally and brightened up a room with her beautiful smile. If you knew her then you knew that she loved to dance, especially when it came to line dancing and a Cajun 2 step. Sandra was a kind-hearted woman who gave more than she received and was always there for anyone who needed her. She left her mark on every life that she touched and she will always be remembered for her sweet, caring, and loving soul. She will be forever missed and always remembered. 

She is survived by her son, Trevor Payne and his wife, Mila; stepson, Lance Michael Barras; mother, Audrey Guilbeau Faulk; and two sisters, Barbara F. Beard and Debra F. Frederick and her husband, Glynn.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Terry James Barras; and father, Lloyd Joseph Faulk.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Nurses and Staff of Encore Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Crowley, LA for the care they gave Sandra during her stay there.
