Sava Harrington Iii

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Sava Harrington III, 59, who died Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at his residence.  He will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Deacon William "Billy" Vincent officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Abshire, Lursie Bourque, Lursie Bourque, Jr., Lucas Broussard, Rocky Bourque, Jordan Harrington and A.J. Fitch. Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Fitch.

Sava was a man with a rough past, but he learned from his experiences. He often tried to teach others to take the right path. Sava was a family man, he loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. Sava was a child at heart and enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved his dog, Heavenly, the sound system in his truck and he often bragged about his wife’s good cooking. Sava also enjoyed working out and staying in shape.  He often picked up side work to help buy the extra things in life. He wasn’t afraid to put in a long day on the shrimp boat or crawfishing. Sava would help anybody in need, as he often did, helping a perfect stranger whenever he could. Even though he did not have much, he would be the first to help anyone and give anything he had to offer. Sava would watch the T.V. commercials about the abused pets and send money to support the foundation. He was a good person with a big heart. He will be missed by all his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Abshire Harrington; his daughter, Nichole Fitch and her husband, A.J.; his son, Tommy Abshire; his stepdaughter, April Parker; his brother, Tony Harrington; his sister, Laura Myers; numerous nieces and nephews; and four grandchildren that he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his son, Sava “Buskie” Abshire IV, his parents, Sava Harrington, Jr. and Beverly Corner; and his brother, Ernest Harrington.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of the services Wednesday, February 23, 2022. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 23, 2022.
