Velma Rae Vincent Quibodeaux

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Velma Rae Vincent Quibodeaux, 94, who died Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Kaplan Healthcare Center.  She will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Farley Painter officiating the services.

Velma was a homemaker, a devoted wife to her late husband, Reverend Curlin Quibodeaux and a loving and nurturing mother to her two children, Roger Dale Quibodeaux and Susie (Quibodeaux) Gorby. Velma and Curlin served together in ministry for 49 years

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Roger Gorby; her grandchildren, Albert Gorby and his wife, Kristina and Brittain (Quibodeaux) Orgeron; her three great grandchildren, Lillie Gorby, Madeline Gorby, and Alice Gorby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curlin Quibodeaux; her son, Roger Dale Quibodeaux; her grandson, Ryan Christian Quibodeaux; her mother, Camma Bertrand Vincent; her father, Ivy W. Vincent; her brothers, Calvin McCoy, Preston, Wade and Garner Vincent; and her sisters, Vivian White and Myrtle Winch.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Lamm Family Care Hospice, 1708 N. Parkerson Ave., Crowley, LA 70526.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 9:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00 AM.
