Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Velta Marie Vincent, 88, who died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Vincent and her partner, Johnny LeBouef of Kaplan, and Janalyn LeBlanc Bertrand of Gueydan; four grandchildren, Shane Vincent and his wife, Peggy, Rhesa Decuir and her husband Stephen, Wesley Bertrand and his wife Renee Broussard, and Clinton Bertrand and his wife, Melissa Robichaux; 11 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Frederick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Vincent; her parents, Wilfred Frederick and the former Azena Baudoin; her great grandson, Holden Marcus Vincent; two sons-in-law, Larry Vincent and Donald Bertrand; and one brother Leon Frederick.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 9:00 AM until the services with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
