Viola Mary Breaux

Gueydan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Viola Mary Breaux, 78, who died Friday, November 2, 2018 at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Alton J. Breaux, Jr.; her three sons, Dean Paul Breaux and his wife, Toni of Cocoa, Florida, Brian Joseph Breaux and his wife, Debra of Milton, and Ronald James Breaux of Lafayette; her daughter, Michele Marie and her husband, David LaPierre of Jennings; her three sisters, Ethel Picard, Betty Gunther, and Dorothy Bourque; her 12 grandchildren, Andrew, Christian, Sarah, Michael, Matthew, Gabe, Taylor, Jonathon, Brandon, D.J., Samantha, and Tabatha; and one great-grandchild, Delores.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Vincent and the former Fidelis Leger.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church.
