Wallace "Blackie" Gary

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2020 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Wallace “Blackie” Gary, Sr., 66, who died Sunday, February 23, 2020.  He will be laid to rest at Mire Cemetery with Reverend Palthasar Arrockia Doss officiating the services.

He is survived by his three daughters, Angel Gary of Kaplan, Hope Gary of Kaplan, and Sierra Gary of Hammond; his sister, Suzanne Romero of New Iberia; his two brothers, Michael Gary of  New Iberia and Wilfred "T-boy" Gary of New Iberia; his six grandchildren; and his four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Gary and the former Mary Lou Segura; his son, Wallace Gary, Jr.; his brother, Willliam Gary; and his sister, Darlene Owens.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Friday, February 28, 2020 from 8:00 AM until the time of the services at 1:00 PM.
