Wendell Joseph Broussard

Abbeville—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April  3, 2024  at 3:00 PM at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Wendell Joseph Broussard, 74, who died Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Kaplan Health Care Center.  He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Father Louis Richard officiating the services.

Wendell was an avid collector of oilfield and military memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife, Diana H. Broussard; brother, Charles Stubbs and his wife, Heloise; sister, Yvonne Graham; daughters, Shari Hebert, Terri Hebert, and Sandy H. Brasseaux and her husband, Dwight; grandsons, Montana and his wife Lindsay, Elliot, and Daelin and his wife Caitlyn; great grandchildren, Gabby, Evan, Layla, Chloe, and Camille; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Willa Mae Broussard; son, Clay Anthony Broussard; and step-father, V.P Landry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 300 Pere Megret St., Abbeville, on Wednesday, April  3, 2024, from 1:30 PM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 2:15 PM.
