Weston Jean Trahan

November 16, 1963 — February 17, 2024

Kaplan—Funeral services officiated by Reverend Mark Miley will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home in Kaplan honoring the life of Weston Jean Trahan, 60, who died Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Ochsner Medical Complex in Plaquemine, LA. He will be laid to rest at a later date at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Born on November 16, 1963, Weston grew up in Kaplan, LA. He was the guy you'd always hit up when you needed a hand or just wanted to grab a bite together. He was all about fixing up cars or anything you needed help with and hanging out with his friends – those were his happy places. But above all, his heart belonged to his daughter, and you could see the pride and love every time he talked about her. His easy-going spirit and genuine kindness will be missed.

He is survived by his only daughter, Nancy Simon and her partner, Christy Gaspard of Kaplan, LA; one sister, Geraldine Trahan Duplantis and her husband, Harvey of Kaplan, LA; and one brother, James Michael Trahan and his wife, Valérie of Bouloupari of New Caledonia; his four nieces, Michelle Burke and her husband, Joseph of Madisonville, LA, Jennifer Trahan Charpentier and her husband, Anthony of Duson, LA, Jill Trahan of Nouméa, New Caledonia, Jess Trahan of Bouloupari, New Caledonia; and one nephew, Kevin Duplantis and his wife, Brittney of Abbeville, LA;  his great nieces, Madeleine, Meaghan, Molli, Malaina, Jayla, and Elizabeth; and great nephews, Austin and Kyle.

Weston was a beloved, devoted, and generous brother and father and has now entered the Kingdom of Heaven to join his two beloved brothers, Mason Paul Trahan and Reese Louis Trahan; his parents, Mary Lou Porter Trahan and Wilbert Louis Trahan; one nephew, Harvey Duplantis Jr. of Abbeville, LA; and other predeceased family members.

Visitation will be observed at Vincent Funeral Home in Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 8:00 AM until the services begin at 1:00 PM, with a rosary being prayed at 10:30 AM.
