Whitney "Pop" Dronet

Kaplan—Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery honoring the life of Whitney “Pop” Dronet, 100, who died Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Deacon Tom Sommers officiating the services.

He is survived by his daughter, Jeanell D. Broussard of Gueydan; his son-in-law, Carroll Primeaux of Abbeville; his six grandchildren, Kendell Broussard, Rowena Broussard, Andrea Vice, Darlene Faulk, Dana Primeaux and Ryan Primeaux; his nine great grandchildren, Amber Doucet, Tanner Broussard, Paige Alleman, Brandee Breaux, Draven Vice, MaKayla Vice, Landon Faulk, Carter Primeaux and Hayes Primeaux; his two great-great grandchildren, Zane Mire and Lexi Mire; and his brother, Alcee "Boy" Dronet of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorena Dronet; his son-in-law,  Lifton Broussard; his daughter, Kariean Primeaux; his parents, Alcee Dronet and the former Maria Mire; and nine brothers and sisters.
