Wilsie Adam Connor, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wilsie Adam Connor Sr., who left us peacefully on March 20, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on February 3, 1933, in Perry, Louisiana, Wilsie lived a rich and fulfilling life that touched many hearts.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM beginning with a recitation of the Rosary, Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville. A visitation will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 9:00 am until time of service. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Deacon Byron Soley will officiate at the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be, Eddie Connor, Wilsie "Tboy" Connor, Jr., Elray Dumond, Jr., Brody Connor, Cade Perry, and Daniel "Pep" Stelly.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Wilsie served in Germany during the Korean Conflict, an experience that shaped his steadfast character and dedication to his country. After his military service, he became a familiar face to many as a mail carrier at the U.S. Postal Service. He also dabbled in TV repair, showcasing his knack for fixing things and his zest for learning.

Wilsie found joy in the simple pleasures of life; he loved to read, root for his favorite NASCAR drivers, and listen to the timeless music of Willie Nelson and Hank Williams Sr. He was an active member of the Woodman of the World, Lions Club, and VFW, where he formed lasting friendships and shared countless stories.

Wilsie is survived by the love of his life, Dorothy "Dott" Primeaux; his beloved sons, Eddie Connor and his companion Elizabeth Delafosse, Wilsie " Tboy" Connor Jr., and his wife, Sue Ellen, and his daughter Marilyn Stelly and her husband Daniel; thirteen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild all of whom will cherish his memory forever.

Wilsie was preceded in death by his father, Luphiade Connor; mother, Valerie Dumond Connor; daughter, Debbie Viator;son, Teddy J. Connor Sr.; grandson, Ray Prejean, Jr.
