Winnie Theresa Boutte Broussard

Kaplan—A memorial celebration will be held at the American Legion Hall from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 19, 2023 honoring the life of Winnie Theresa Boutte Broussard who passed away at her home under hospice care on January 20, 2023 after a 15 day stay at Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital.

Winnie was born on November 9, 1934 in Youngsville, Louisiana to Ophe Boutte and the former Rena Bourque. She was married to Alvin F. Broussard for 65 years and together they had three children.

She is survived by her children, Carlton Anthony Broussard (Dianna Callahan), Angela Claire Sweet (David Mola), and David Jude Broussard; her five grandchildren, Jacque Broussard, Katrina Broussard, Brennan Sweet, Landon Sweet, and Garrett Broussard; her four great grandchildren; Carter Hebert, Kensington Hebert (Ashtyn), Allie Boutte and Aubrey Boutte (Jenna); her sister, Audrey Boutte Hebert; her sisters-in-law, Janelle Meaux (Dunice “T-Lee”) and Annabelle Broussard (Presley); and her brother-in-law, Curvis Derouen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin F. Broussard; her parents, Ophe and Rena Boutte; her parents-in-law, Claude and Effie Broussard; and her sister, Rella Mae Boutte Derouen.
