Winnie G. Trahan

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Winnie G. Trahan, 97, who died Thursday, June 17, 2021.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She is survived by her daughter, Tessie Dowdy of Kaplan; her sisters-in-law, Carmen Guilbeaux of Lafayette, Shirley Hebert of Amarillo, TX and Irene Trahan of Iowa; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Trahan; her parents, Evellier and Edna Guilbeaux; her sisters, Agnes Stakes and Shirley Appel; her brothers, Murphy "Bee" Guilbeaux, Sr., Ursey "Tee" Guilbeaux and Roy Guilbeaux; and her son-in-law, Danny Dowdy.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 1:45 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
