Gueydan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Zenith Petry, 64, who died Saturday, September 23, 2017 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Lee Roy "Booga" Petry Jr.; one son, Oland Otis Petry and his wife, Brianna Kimberly Matthews of Gueydan; two daughters, Samantha Petry and Anna Petry, both of Gueydan; four grandchildren, Brayden Petry, Bryce Matthews, Alex Matthews, and Caleb Hanson; and four brothers, Jimmy Bertrand, Logan Bertrand, Randall Bertrand, and Robert Bertrand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oland Bertrand and the former Celima Ouida Breaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 8:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church.
